Over wild seas and with fully loaded ships, the first "blue-on-white" porcelain reached Dutch shores four hundred years ago. Shrewd merchants imported this pottery from the imperial porcelain cities of Asia. It became so popular that creative Dutch artisans developed their own version of this Chinese porcelain—thus, Delft Blue pottery was born.

For centuries, the unique painting technique has been passed down from master to apprentice. Today, Heinen Delfts Blauw is one of the world’s largest producers, but we are much more than just Delft Blue. We design modern interior collections inspired by traditional Delft Blue, yet transformed into something entirely new.
